Edirne Melon
Origin - Turkey.
Days to ripen -
Rind - Round or elongated. Yellow/green. Smooth and often ribbed Flesh - light green, creamy smooth and very sweet.
Fruit weight - 1 - 2kg
Ripeness indicator - Turns a lighter green tinged with yellow. Slips and cracks if over-ripe so you need to pick it when it changes colour and needs a little tug to get off the vine.
My Notes:
The texture is a bit too soft and creamy for my taste but many people like it.
